Upcoming Activities

Choir practice will not be held today
- To keep up with the latest information about the choir, please sign up for the GroupMe app and request to join ‘Heritage Ward choir’. Contact Brother Janeway for more information.

With the new hymns that have been released, as a Bishopric, we want to invite and encourage each family to pick 1 song a week to listen to as a family. We will be singing them during our sacrament meetings and it will be a great way to have each family bring more sacred music into the home.

Lynette Lansford, mother of Krysten Buffington, passed away this week. We extend our sincerest condolences to them and offer up all our love and support to them. The funeral will be held this Saturday, the 22nd, at 10 a.m. at the stake center. A sign-up request has been sent out for anyone that wishes to provide assistance for and during the funeral service.

As you remember from a few weeks ago, a tornado tore through the town of Valley View, destroying over 450 homes. We had some volunteers go serve in the clean-up efforts 2 Saturdays ago, and we are asked to continue to provide additional service. For anyone that is available to serve, again, this Saturday, June 22nd, please notify President David Parente. He will provide you with any further information. For awareness, they ask that only those 14 and up volunteer.

The Stake is holding Missionary Preparation classes for Priest age Young Men and Young Women who are planning on serving a mission. The classes will be taught by Sister Audrey Van Haaften and Brother Wesley Castlemain.
- The classes will be one hour, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, starting March 24th at Bonds Ranch
- The location will change based on the week of the month:
  - 1st and 3rd Sundays will be at the Stake Center in the Relief Society room
  - 2nd and 4th Sundays will be at Bonds Ranch in the Relief Society room

Young Women Activity this week:
- Combined YW/YM skit activity at the church on Wednesday at 7:00 PM

Young Men Activities this week:
- Priests – Campout in Sulphur OK on Thursday through Saturday
- Teachers – Combined YM/YW skit activity at the church on Wednesday at 7:00 PM
- Deacons – Campout – meet at the McMurdie’s home by 3:00 PM on Wednesday
