Hi, Sisters!
Welcome to May 2024! Below you will find the upcoming events and happenings for May along with our presidency message.
Presidency Message
In the most recent General Conference and Worldwide Relief Society Devotional, there were several talks that focused on the temple. Why do you think that was the case? I’m sure there are several reasons, and those talks probably spoke many different messages to each of our hearts, but one of the reasons I think they were given was to remind us of how much God wants to share His priesthood power with us. The temple is a place where we make further covenants with God that more closely bind us to Him. As we keep our covenants, God gives us, both women and men, access to His priesthood power. Sister J. Anette Dennis reminded us that “as endowed women, we have the right to draw liberally on the Savior’s power to help ourselves, our families, and others.” And President Nelson has taught us that in the temple we are gifted with a knowledge to know how to draw upon that power. Isn’t that wonderful?! In this time of so much chaos and confusion in the world, God has given us access to His power and knowledge to help us overcome all the challenges of life. It is my hope that we will each return to the temple often so we can continue to grow in knowledge of how we can draw upon His Power, and to feel of His deep love for each of us.
Love, Sister Wendy McKasson
