Upcoming Activities

  • Choir practice will be held at 1:30 PM today at the Pray’s house
    • To keep up with the latest information about the choir, please sign up for the GroupMe app and request to join ‘Heritage Ward choir’. Contact Brother Janeway for more information.
  • Bishop’s Youth Fireside is tonight at 6:00 PM at the church
  • Stake Service Project – Monday, September 11th at 6:00 PM
    • The Stake will be hosting an event for September 11th National Day of Service.  We plan to assemble hygiene kits for two organizations:
      • Rio Valley Relief Project (which services Refugees)
      • Cook Children’s Hospital (to help the families of children in emergency care)
    • Additional donations can be brought on the day of the event (there will be a donation box outside the church starting at 11:00am that morning)
  • Young Women Activities this week:
    • YW 14-18 – Combined with the YM
      • Meet at Biblical Planetarium at 5:45 PM on Wednesday
      • 6001 Denton Highway, Haltom City
    • YW 12-13 – Game Night at Celeste Rhoades’ house at 7:00 PM
  • Young Men Activity this week:
    • All YM Combined – Biblical Planetarium at 5:45 PM on Wednesday
      • 6001 Denton Highway, Haltom City

  • Stake Organization Training – Thursday, September 14th at 7:00 PM at the Stake Center
    • For: Bishoprics, YM Advisors and Specialists and YW Presidents
  • Multi-Stake Dance – September 23rd at Colleyville Stake Center
  • General Conference will be on September 30th and October 1st
  • Fast Sunday for October will be on October 8th, due to General Conference
  • The next Emotional Resilience class will begin on October 8th
    • It will be held at the Willis Lane building on Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM, for 6 weeks

  • BYU-Idaho Education Fireside at Lewisville Stake Center on October 12th at 6:30 PM
  • The North Texas YSA Conference will be held October 13th-15th

  • Worldwide Testimony Meeting for Youth will be broadcast on October 22, 2023 at 7:00 PM and can be viewed at the Stake Center and Bonds Ranch buildings
  • We are excited to let you know that, for the first time here in Dallas-Fort Worth, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Giving Machines will make their appearance during Christmas 2023!  Giving Machines are part of the Church’s Light the World campaign every Christmas and are a fun way to share the joy of the birth of the Savior with your family and friends.  In addition, the Giving Machines will bring light and help to thousands of our brothers and sisters right here in DFW.
    • Please watch and share this brief video, produced by our DFW Metro Communication Council, to find out where the Giving Machines will be located, what local charities are involved, and how you can participate.  The Giving Machines provide a natural way to invite friends to join us in spreading the light and love of the Savior during this Christmas season. A visit to the Giving Machines could provide a meaningful holiday activity for youth classes and quorums, YSA groups, Relief Societies, and elders quorums.
